Starting this week, TDRPD will be starting a maintenance project on the ballfields to create more field space for multi sport use, improve our lighting and irrigation. Our goal is to be completed in time for no interruption of 2023 Spring season.

Check out our FREE PDGA-rated disc golf course located across the Chief Truckee Lawn near the entrance of Regional Park. The course can also be rented for private special events.
The Truckee River Regional Park Playground features three playground areas with appropriate age ranges for your kids. The first area includes dinosaurs to climb on, ride, and play on. We also have a train that is stationary, but on certain Saturdays in the Summer, come out for a ride with the Truckee Donner Railroad Society around Truckee River Regional Park. Visit the Truckee Donner Railroad Society website for a schedule of train ride days.
Rent out the Leisure BBQ for a birthday party and let the kids run around the open area and playground.
The Chief Truckee Lawn pays homage to an influential member of the Northern Paiute! Also known as Wuna Mucca, he was a medicine chief and prophet who offered guidance to settlers exploring the West. A beautiful, open area that's great for outdoor activities, picnics, and parties. The lawn area can also be reserved. Please see the Regional Park Rentals section for more details and availability.
Lower River BBQ is one of our more popular reservations due to it’s location. Situated next the to Truckee River and the Legacy Trail, the Lower River BBQ is a wonderful venue for smaller outdoor events. Please see the Regional Park Rentals section for more details and pricing information.
The Leisure BBQ area is located just north of Chief Truckee Lawn on the site of our temporary Ice Rink. A large concrete area and cooking pits are available. Please see the Regional Park Rentals section for more details and availability.
Known as the Farmer's Market Lot, this large natural area offers open space and parking access for outdoor events.
