Park Host/Park Facility Worker

Brief Summary: Truckee-Donner Recreation and Park District has a unique opportunity for someone looking to live in Truckee and also get paid to work for the Park and Rec.

We are looking for an individual that will work as both a Park Host and as a Park Facility Worker (ball fields or park prepper). This position would come with free utilities and RV hook up as well as pay for their time worked as a Park Facility Worker. You must provide your own RV. This position will fill fast! The locations are West End Beach at Donner Lake and Riverview Sports Park in Truckee. We are looking for this position to start in May 2023 if not earlier and will end at the end of the summer 2023. 

Duties for Park Host: cleaning the restroom, dumping garbage cans, and closing the park at night.

Duties for Park Facility Worker: keeping our beautiful parks green and clean.

Hours: Shifts available Sunday—Thursday or Tuesday—Saturday 7:00 am.—3:30 p.m. (Fulltime)

Pay: $21.48 - $23.24 per hour, depending on experience, plus District perks valued at $500 per month for a family of 4 (they include membership passes to the fitness center, pool, and beach for employees and their entire family).
