Ponderosa Irrigation Project Begins on Aug. 3

Ponderosa Putting

Ponderosa Golf Course has had the same irrigation system since it was built in 1961, and starting in August, we are finally replacing the system making for improved watering and management of the sprinkler systems.

In the beginning of the process they will start welding pipe out of play locations the week of August 3. This process may only affect your ball on bad shots and noise. They are then scheduled to break ground on hole 1 on August 10.

Although this will modify the course with hole by hole closures, we are still planning on having 9 holes available for the rest of the season. Modifications of hole locations will be detailed soon. We appreciate everyones understanding as the maintenance begins, and we are extremely excited for this improvement to the course for next season.

The improvement to the irrigation will increase our quality of grass on the golf courses greens and fairways making for more enjoyable and quality golf.

Thank you!
