Private Swim Lessons

If your child prefers a quieter environment, please consider scheduling your private lesson during our closure: 12pm - 3pm Monday - Friday

Registration for Private Swim Lessons is on the 15th of each month at 8:00 am for the following month of lessons.

POOL RULES

SWIM TESTING

(Anyone Under 14)

During open swim times, children under 14 will need to pass our swimming test in order to swim without a life jacket. Test includes a 25 yard swim followed immediately by 1 minute of treading water. If the child does not pass they can enter the pool with a life jacket. Testing will take place for 10 minutes every hour on the hour.

*SWIM DIAPERS

We require snug fitting swim diapers with elastic on top and legs for all children who are not 100% potty trained & ALL CHILDREN under 4 years old. No disposable diapers allowed. Diapers are available for purchase at the pool. Fecal Incident Policy & Procedures article.

NON-SWIMMER admission

An admission is charged for all persons entering the pool regardless if they are swimming or not. The Non-Swimmer Admission is waived the last hour of everyday.
All patrons are required to pay a small fee to enter the facility. In part, this helps our staff maintain control of who's on the pool deck. The funds also help maintain the facility's condition for both swimmers and non-swimmers alike.

ALL OTHER FACILITY RULES

No outside food or beverage allowed in pool
All children under 12 must have an adult with them to visit the pool. Children 12+ must have an account on file with emergency contact.
Groups over 10 people must contact Aquatics Team prior to arrival for approval. If you are looking to have a party at the pool, please visit our Pool Rental page.
Open Swim times in the lap pool include diving board, rope climb & 2-5 lap lanes available.
Ask a lifeguard between 6-7 pm for lap pool open swim.
Adult Only Times: Mon. - Fri. from 9am-10am in the Rec Pool only.
The Truckee Community Swimming Pool is open to the public. We accept single drop-ins but offer discounted monthly, quarterly, and annual passes. Please see our Pool Fees for more details.
We check every person per our wristband system guidelines. These wristbands are crucial since they identify the swim ability of each person for our lifeguards.

Have your next birthday party in the Truckee Community Pool with a private room to gather your group for cake, presents and other fun activities.

Pool party rentals are available on Saturdays and Sundays from 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm. The party package includes 2-hour exclusive use of the party room and pool admission for up to 20 persons (swimmers and non-swimmers). Additional admissions can be paid at front desk upon arrival.

Additionally, our Outdoor patio is a fantastic area for birthdays and company parties where you can BBQ up some food, set up larger tables and use the space for bigger groups while enjoying the outdoor air at our pool. The Outdoor Patio also has a new gas firepit that provides an additional hangout spot for our group.
