Executive Assistant to General Manager
Job Details: Truckee-Donner Recreation and Park District is excited to announce a new position in the District to support the General Manager as an Executive Assistant. The Executive Assistant is a professional member of the team that will be responsible for providing a wide variety of office administrative and clerical support to the General Manager which could include complex, sensitive, and/or confidential information and knowledge to support TDRPD’s programs and projects. The Executive Assistant will act as the first point of contact for the General Manager and will provide information to the public and staff that will require considerable knowledge of District services, policies, and procedures.
Experience: Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:
1. Associate’s degree in recreation administration, business or public administration, or a closely related field, preferred.
2. Five (5) years of responsible general office or secretarial support experience required.
3. Experience working as an Executive Assistant, preferred.
4. Bilingual (Spanish) fluency desirable.
5. Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
Hours: Typically Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week in-person with occasional evening or weekend needs, and possibility of infrequent overtime. Remote work is not possible.
Hiring Details: Pay: $36.49 per hour, plus benefits including health, dental, vision (for confirmed dependents) and life insurance, and District perks (membership passes to the gym, pool, beach, and ice rink for employees and their families) for your qualifying dependents.
